We were so excited to be on the red carpet for the Premiere of Love & Friendship at Sundance Film festival. This movie, directed and adapted by Whit Stillman and starring an amazing cast including Kate Beckinsale, Chloe Sevigny, Xavier Samuel, Emma Greenwell, Tom Bennett, and Stephen Fry.
The film is from Jane Austen’s novella, “Lady Susan,” and follows the beautiful and cunning Lady Susan Vernon, played by the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale, while she visits the estate of her in laws to wait out colorful rumors of her dalliances and to find husbands for herself and her daughter “Catherine,” played by Emma Greenwell.
We had the opportunity to chat with Kate Beckinsale about her saucy, modern take on a Jane Austen woman, and how she feels about Sundance and being involved in the festival. Let me tell you we were literally mesmerized by this gal’s beauty and wit. She is a true lady in all aspects of the word and we had a blast with her on the carpet.
We speak with Xavier Samuel about his character “Reginald,” and how it feels to be cast in this film.
Finally, we had the chance to talk to director Whit Stillman about this project, 11 years in the making. You have to check out this awesome film! (This is his 2nd time casting Chloe & Kate in a film. The first one was for his movie The Last Days Of Disco.)
