Charles and I met through Social media of all things. I actually found out I was allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs about 1 year ago and had to change my entire diet. I was always picky about protein and had sensitivities to several proteins on the market. I found Ground Based at Vitamin Shop and was hooked. After posting about them, Charles reached out to me and I become a brand ambassador for them!
As a lifelong fitness professional, Charles Weller has enjoyed a healthy and active lifestyle as a fitness fanatic and weightlifter since he was a young teen. After moving to San Diego in the 1990’s, Charles continued to follow his passion for fitness. Thinking it was healthy, he used whey protein for years to build muscle. “After a visit with my doctor, I discovered I had inflammation throughout my body. I couldn’t understand why there was so much of this marker for disease when I’d been eating a healthy diet and exercising. When I discovered that the inflammation in my body was caused by whey protein, I knew there had to be a better way.
Focusing on health-promoting, plant-based food supplements, I created Ground-Based Nutrition and Superfood Protein.
