LIVE SHOW FRIDAY NOV. 17th
Traci:
We had Traci Wilkerson Steckel, Founder of Traci’s Paws, Inc. who was in studio talking about her amazing organization and their Holiday event they hosted on December 2nd which is the largest one they host all year!
It is called Unleash the Holiday Cheer and was held at Ingram Plaza at Liberty Station from 12-4pm!
UTHC is an annual pet-friendly holiday festival benefiting local military families and homeless dogs of Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Anyone who is in the military was able to apply for an adoption sponsorship prior to event, and if qualified, took home their dog from UTHC with no fees! (The Puppies were adorable, and I am happy to report ALL WERE ADOPTED!)
What happened at the event:
Kids and pets could visit with Santa, and they enjoyed fun activities for the family at Santa’s Workshop. Everyone enjoyed some tasty treats and indulged in food from the food trucks! They also enjoyed the game truck and laser tag, a photo booth, and were treated to holiday music from their musical guest! There were many vendors at the event so people could shop it up!
Traci raised $12,875.00 for Helen Woodward to unite military families with their guests! Congrats Traci!!
Traci’s Paws is a 501C3 non profit organization founded in 2013 that hosts and facilitates fundraisers, adoption and charity events, and pet food and bedding drives for all animal rescues across California. specifically in San Diego County.
Jennifer Wren:
We also were honored to have the amazing Jennifer Wren, West Coast Brand Ambassador, for Glenfiddich Whiskey live talking about their whiskey and some real “outside the box” experiences Glenfiddich provides.
Jennifer was joined by bartender and spirits director, Stephen Kurpinksy from George’s at the Cove, who mixed up some fun signature cocktails for viewers. (YEP WE LIT SOME COCKTAILS ON FIRE LIVE)
Jennifer was in town to attend and be a silver sponsor for the SD Food & Wine Festival which took place on the 12th-19th at the San Diego Bay!
The story on Glenfiddich:
For 20 years William Grant nurtured a dream to make the ‘best dram in the valley’. With the help of his family, he finally achieved that vision. This started in 1887 when William fulfils a lifelong ambition and starts building his own distillery with the help of his nine children and a single stone mason. He names it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
William’s passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide the company today. Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt* Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of our founder’s innovative nature, passed down through the generations.
