The Pulse takes you inside the Cherry Blossoms in Springtime Fashion Show & Luncheon which benefitted the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego. Held in the Presidential ballroom of the beautiful US Grant Hotel, Leonard Simpson and his company Fashion Forward created an elegant ambiance of thousands of live cherry blossoms.
Guests showed up at 10:30 for the social hour where they could bid on an assortment of lovely gifts for the silent auction. Local boutiques and artists were set up so guests could shop and have a portion of the proceeds go to the Epilepsy Foundation. Laura Martella and her adorable famous dog Gentleman Norman were also in attendance to sign books for guests.
At noon, Celebrity Honorary Chair and Host, Mary Murphy from So You Think you Can Dance welcomed guests and introduced the Fashion Chairs, Sonya Berg, Daran Grimm, and Laura Applegate. Guests were then treated to a gourmet lunch by the Grant Grill and were entertained by Fashion Forward’s amazing Fashion Show featuring designers from around the globe. Leonard incorporated local boutiques like Melero Boutique & Satori Designs to create a whimsical, artistic and theatrical fashion presentation.
The day ended with a live auction and the Hope Honors Presentation where Sally B. Thornton and Susie Spanos were honored with awards. Channel 10’s Kimberly Hunt accepted the award on behalf of Susie Spanos.
