Cindy & The Pulse Team got to go behind the scenes and meet the fabulous cast of ASS A Midsummer Night’s Fever, which is playing at San Diego’s Ion Theatre Company. Based on Shakepeare’s A Mid Summer Nights Dream, the shows co-creators, Claudio Raygoza and Glenn Paris have dreamed up a 1970’s adult themed interactive disco party. Guests get to come up and boogie with the cast and learn the hustle. Cindy actually got picked to come up for a dance competition with several other members of the audience. Winners of this dance off then receive 2 VIP tickets to come back to the “Magic Wood Cabaret.”
Cindy got the opportunity to sit down with choreographer Michael Mizerany and co-producer Glenn Paris to learn the skinny on how they put this provocative show together. Marco Puente, who plays “DJ Meter” in the show took the crew behind the scenes to meet the cast and showed The Pulse where all the magic happens.
We highly recommend going to see this bawdy play! The ensemble is awesome. The sexy and confident Rhianna Basore who plays “Titsonya” is a delight to watch. The MC Justin Lang who is “Obi-Ron” is literally a golden god in skin tight gold leather pants and a star wars light saber! The charismatic Max Macke who plays goofy “Bottom” is hysterical and fearless. We love Anne, Brittany, and Shaun the rest of the ensemble who dance their butts off the entire night!
