Richie Sambora
The Wind & The Wave
Kris Gruen
We had the fabulous opportunity at Sundance Film Festival to film and cover several shows at the ASCAP Music Cafe in Park City. For the last 16 years, The Sundance Film Festival & ASCAP have celebrated the connection of sound and screen at the Music Cafe. This years program featured an eclectic mix of songwriters and artists, from legendary icons to rising stars, all handpicked by ASCAP. We were on hand to film and enjoy the sounds of some amazing artists including, Kris Gruen, a New York City Native who put down roots in Vermont. His sound is new folk and grounded in the tradition of narrative songwriters like Cat Stevens. The audience loved him!
The Second act we caught was the high energy The Wind & The Wave. This duo is best friends made up by Dwight Baker & Patricia Lynn. Their sound is a mix of country and folk rock. We really dug them!
The night ended on a high note as we had the amazing opportunity to see and film the legendary Richie Sambora! As a New Jersey Native and a Bon Jovi fan, I was over the moon about this and Richie did not disappoint. He blew the crowd away with a mix of his own songs as well as some awesome Bon Jovi numbers! The crowd was in heaven! This was for sure a dream come true for us!
