Ghost Hunters!
Izzy and I spent the day on Halloween going to some seriously creepy notoriously haunted spots in San Diego. I did a ton of research and used the fabulous Dan Scott from San Diego Haunted as a resource! He shared all his findings with us. You need to check them out at http://www.sandiegohaunted.com/
We started out in North County at The Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve on the border of Escondido. This place has tales of a white witch being seen floating on the curvy windy road leading to the reserve and hiking area, as well as on the trails. Gypsies performed rituals here and drummed up a ton of energy from the dead, which is a true story. We experienced weird interference with the cameras and an eerie scratching noise in the go pro camera.

Next it was off to Alpine to the Alpine Cemetery which I have to say really gave me the willies! This has just recently gained attention for being haunted by local paranormal groups and it is told that people have been kicked, scratched, and picked up voices when recording. It felt very dark and heavy to me and we actually picked up a voice imitating me when we reviewed the footage!!! CREEPY! The gravestones of 7 veterans were recently stolen from here.

Next it was off to old town. We went into El Campo Santo Cemetery which is supposedly haunted by 2 ghosts out of the 477 bodies buried here. One is by Yankee Jim Robinson who was hung at the nearby Whaley House. Visitors also see a lady in a white victorian costume roaming and then disappearing by the south wall. Visitors note chills, and have had misfortune to their cars as they pass by. We did see a lady run over a huge glass bottle right in front of the cemetery when we were inside? Coincidence? I felt very calm and peaceful here otherwise.

Our last stop was Pioneer Park which is one of the MOST haunted places in San Diego due to the fact that in 1968, the city of San Diego declared the cemetery abandoned and the following year, all head stones and markers were razed and discarded into a ravine behind Mt Hope Cemetery. Some of the bodies were re interred in other cemeteries. Some still remain under the grass in the park! People claim to feel like they are being watched and seeing a ghostly lady wandering about! We were surprised to find it a happening spot Halloween night with several people in the park hanging out, and even getting their photos taken, FULL ON PHOTOSHOOTS happening lol!
