The Art Of Skin MD
437 S. Highway 101 Suite 217
Solana Beach, CA 92075
For the second year in a row The Pulse was honored to be involved in Sol Search, An Annual fundraiser hosted by Dr. Melanie Palm MD from The Art of Skin in Solana Beach. This event, which has been held annually for the last 5 years increases awareness about the importance of skin safety, skin cancer screenings, and to highlight Skin Cancer awareness month in May.
The festivities included wine by Orfila Winery, food by California Pizza Kitchen and Beaming, as well as several clothing vendors like Graced by Grit and Vestem. Guests were entertained by Collin Elliot who was playing an acoustic guitar set.
There was a silent auction and raffle prizes totaling over $3000.00 to raise money for the Skin cancer foundation. Some crazy statistics for you:
“Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer and it will strike nearly 74,000 Americans in 2015,” said Art of Skin MD founding director, board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Melanie Palm, M.D. “Art of Skin MD is proud to be an advocate and expert in prevention and treatment of melanoma and help raise funds for The Skin Cancer Foundation.”
Dr. Palm had a few of her clients share their story and highlight how important it is to get your skin checked! The MC was the fabulous Andrea Naversen from Ranch & Coast Magazine. Check out this amazing event for a good cause!!
