Interview with Motopony

“Get Down” Performance at ASCAP

We love covering Sundance ASCAP Music Cafe every year at Sundance Film Festival. American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) always has the best performers!

This year we spent the afternoon listening to Motopony. This awesome band hailing from Tacoma & Seattle Washington is riveting to watch in person. Singer, songwriter, guitarist, Daniel Blue has a magnetic pull on his audience with his poetic lyrics and folk rock inflection.

After their 2011 Debut Album, MTV called them the best band ever. They Spent 6 months in the studio and traveling / recording their 2nd full length album with Producer Mike McCarthy.

This sophmore Album Welcome You, released in 2015 is top notch! One of my favorite songs on this Album is “Daylight’s Gone” and you will not be able to sit down when this jam plays believe me! Full on Indie Rock at it’s finest.

The band consists of:
Daniel Blue (singer song writer, guitar)
Mike Notter (guitarist)
Forest Mauvis (drummer)
Andrew Butler (keyboards)
Nate Daley (guitar)
