Santa Helena Trail:
5 south Exit Loma Santa Fe go left, proceed under 1-5 take 1st left onto Santa Helena, and drive road to the end. Park along curb.
What do we do on our time off, why we hike this beautiful city we live in San Diego. We always love discovering new spots to take our furry babies, aka the DRAGONS, Bella and Romeo. They love to hike and run! A friend told me to check out San Elijo Lagoon and Ecological Perserve and so we did.
Cute areas to hike and take your furry pooches with you. There is a 979 Acre Ecological Reserve here with 7 miles of trails to pick from. We tried the Nature Center Loop which is easy and quick and then went on to the Santa Helena Trail which is a bit more up hill and a work out. Check it out, it was a fun day!!
