UHM, have you tried Starry Lane Bakery yet? They used to be in Santee and recently had their grand opening for their new location in Hillcrest. I recently stopped eating Animal Products and I have been gluten free for awhile due to allergies and I found this AMAZING place!

They are gluten free, vegan, soy free, dairy free, egg free, Tree Nut Free, and peanut free! I have tried so many times to find cupcakes that were yummy and both gluten free, dairy free, and vegan, and believe me people, the struggle is real! This place has it all and the flavors are OUTSTANDING!

For Cupcakes, we tried the Chocolate Devil’s Food, the Grasshopper, and the Cookies & Cream and they were delicious. They also have bread which is really good. I had the pretzel rolls which were very moist and not too salty! I loved them.

I also tried their biscotti which I had with my morning coffee and thought it was fantastic! The flavor I tried was the chocolate chip espresso.

They do use refined sugar, but everything is so yummy and they take custom orders for cupcake flavors and cakes! These guys are #pulse approved and I highly recommend them!!

They also have scones, muffins, and fresh baked breads in amazing flavors! I am dying to try the black cherry bread!

About this amazing bakery:

Starry Lane Bakery is the living dream of sisters Jaime and Jennifer Schwartz. The bakery’s unique name was contributed by their mother Barbara who thought a touch of nostalgia was called for, and suggested naming the business after the street they grew up on in the Pennsylvania Mountains.

The Schwartz sisters opened Starry Lane Bakery in November of 2011 to make the lives of those of us with food allergies a little bit easier, and a whole lot sweeter. Chocolaty and gooey, or sweet and crispy, the simple pleasure of a fresh baked cookie is an experience that everyone should be able to enjoy.

All Starry Lane Bakery products are made on-site in a dedicated facility that is free of gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish, as well as being vegan and free of all artificial food dyes. The utmost care is taken to make sure that the taste, texture, and appearance of each pastry are just what you remember from your own childhood. Share the heartwarming experience of a fresh baked cookie with the ones you love. .
