Ok peeps Friday I was off from the live show and am trying to make time for self care and making this a priority!
I was excited to try the PRP facial at Rejuvenate Medical Group located inside Fix Body Group in Mission Valley!

Well Dr. Patrick Cucarola the clinic director, invited me in for a treatment and I wanted to share my experience with you!
It is non invasive and a simple process. The longest part of the experience is waiting for the numbing cream to take effect which is about 30 minutes.
Erik, was the one that administered the treatment on me and he was awesome. He explained everything to me and what to expect during the treatment.
He started by taking my blood (1 vial) to use to create the Platelet Rich Plasma he will then use and apply to my face.
Plasma is a vital component of our blood and contains factors and proteins which stimulate immune cells. It is safe too because it is coming directly from our body!
He does 3 passes on your face and jaw line. He uses a micro needling instrument called a SkinPen and he can adjust the level depending on your pain threshold and how he feels your skin is reacting to the microneedling.
It was easy and not really painful at all. The only thing that stung a bit was under my eye area which was sensitive and the top of my forehead on the 3rd pass.
I had no pain that night and my face was just a bit swollen which is a normal part of the process.
The results should take place in 1 week but ideally they recommend a series of 3 treatments for the best results.
The only downside to this was I had to take 2 days off of my workouts and I could not wear make up for 24 hours, which is hardly a downside.
