We had such a great interview with Ronda Rousey yesterday talking about the debut of her new graphic novel Expect The Unexpected at Comic Con 2024. 🎥💕💕
We talk about how being a Mom has changed her, her love of writing, and adapting her memoir into a screenplay for Netflix!!
Oh and she is 4 months pregnant expecting her 2nd child!
Penned by Rousey and edited by Alonso AWA Studios, with art by Eisner and Ringo Award-winning comic book artist Mike Deodato Jr. (AVENGERS, NOT ALL ROBOTS, WONDER WOMAN), the graphic novel draws on Rousey’s incredible career in the ring and pairs it with Deodato’s martial arts background to create the most accurate and action-packed fight scenes in comics.
The duo developed a unique process to ensure the graphic novel’s fight scenes are as accurate as possible with Rousey choreographing and filming the scenes herself as source material for Deodato’s art. Attendees will get a sneak peek into that process while learning more about their collaboration.

We also congratulate Ronda on closing a deal to adapt the script for her own biopic at Netflix. It would be based on both her memoirs, My Fight/Your Fight and Our Fight, which she co-wrote with her sister, Maria Burns Ortiz
