With 14 GRAMMY® Awards and 27 nominations, the Nashville Symphony is one of the country’s most prolific recording orchestras, championing American composers and giving definitive performances of their music!
The Nashville Symphony performs nearly 200 concerts each year, including many free and low-cost education and community programs that annually reach nearly 550,000 people of all ages across Middle Tennessee.
The Symphony is also celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the 80th Anniversary of the Nashville Symphony!

Following the sold-out world premiere, Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony returns to The Schermerhorn Symphony Center for an exclusive limited summer series with the Nashville Symphony.
This multimedia concert event brings Dolly’s songs and the stories behind them to life with guest vocalists, new orchestrations, and narration from Dolly herself on the big screen, featuring favorites like “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “I Will Always Love You,” and more.
We get to speak to one of the soloists, CMT’s Next Women of Country, a Billboard Country Rookie and musician with “Dolly’s Symphony“, Julie Williams.
She has been part of the national tour since it’s debut last March.
In October 2024, Julie released her EP, Tennessee Moon, that was featured in Billboard, Nashville Scene, Entertainment Tonight, and Bluegrass Situation and listed on NPR music critic Ann Power’s list of best albums released by Nashville artists in 2024!
On May 9th, she released a new song, “The Women Who Made Me” and Tricia Yearwood made an appearance in the video with Julie and her Mom. She is making moves on the Nashville Music Scene!
